...in a sunless land
Lights and Shadows
Interstellar Café & Cinema is a sad and dark album, filled with love, hope, frustration, heartbreak, pain, and resignation in each of its lyrics.

It’s an album entirely based on the deceit that can exist in relationships. In MB, there was a perception of the world after adolescence. From Bridges and Rivers is full of innocence and the contrast between the end of a relationship and the beginning of my journey into fatherhood — without a doubt, it was a very pure and transparent album. The complete opposite of what Interstellar Café & Cinema represents.

Interstellar Café & Cinema was a form of therapy for me, as I managed to channel many of the emotions I went through in recent years. It’s a work that centers around a place far from our understanding and, of course, far from our home within the eternity of the cosmos. It’s a disoriented, murky, and magical place, where fantasy blends with reality, lies with truth, disturbed minds and broken souls with pure hearts.
